Craige and Sara Ohlstein welcomed baby Parker into this world on April 28th 2012 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center weighing 8lbs 15ozs and 21 inches long.  Parker was a real trooper throughout the session even with his tummy ache.  This little man is quite the looker, rumor has it he already has a girlfriend!  Who wouldn’t believe that with his big beautiful eyes? One of the things we love most about Parker are his parents, they are very good friends of ours.  Parker is now 14lbs and 23 inches long, we can’t wait to watch him grow and capture his life through the camera.

Some say rain on your wedding day is good luck, some say it’s a disaster.  Well on June 2, 2012 it was good luck for Emily and Jeremy.  Their day was not going to be ruined by a little rain. The folks at the Echo Lake Inn made sure they would have a place inside the historic inn for the ceremony and reception.  We, on the other hand, had to quickly come up with a game plan for capturing their special day.

Upon meeting up with Emily in her suite to photograph her dress and accessories, we noticed there were no shoes or heels to be found.  When we asked Emily about this we learned of the boots she would be wearing.  This made our day because it really tells the story of the kind of bride Emily is, Fun!  Grabbing our gear and the boots we headed out to the red chaired lined front porch (We love those chairs!) and proceeded to capture the details of her day.  Heading back upstairs we grabbed her dress and snuck off into an unoccupied room to photograph her wedding dress.

While talking to Emily, as she was getting ready, we learned that she had made the bouquets and other wedding decorations.   We took extra time to capture Emily’s hard work and talent.

Following the ceremony, as Emily and Jeremy were walking back up the aisle, she noticed her brother!  Emily had explained to us upon our arrival that morning that her brother would be unable to attend as his one of his children had become ill expectantly.    The emotion that came over Emily’s face, when seeing her brother, gave us a chill.  Emily, Jeremy and the guests convened on the front porch and it was time to capture the family photos and then the bride and groom formals.

Having full use of the inn, we found shooting at the old bar down stairs made for some nice and fun photos.

Following the reception we approached Emily and Jeremy about venturing out in the rain to take additional photos, they were completely on board.  We grabbed our gear and the bag full of umbrellas we had brought with us and took some great shots in the rain.  We couldn’t be happier with the way they turned out.

To all you brides out there, if it rains on your wedding they don’t let it get you down just embrace it!
